Our feet have recovered, and our brains have had time to digest all the amazing new finds from the fall High Point Market. We’ve picked out some of the bigger trends emerging and highlighted some that are consistent from last market. Here’s our list:
Wovens
If we had to choose a favorite, this would be the one! From light fixtures to furniture, wovens are everywhere! Wovens have definitely been on trend for a while now and this market showed us they aren’t going anywhere. An emerging trend we found in wovens (yes, a trend in a trend) is new colorways. Blacks, whites, blues, browns and reds all look fab in wovens. We are seeing wovens in different colors and that is fine by us!
Mixed Finishes/Materials
Black & brass? Leather & metal? Woven & wood? Yes. Yes. Yes. Mixing finishes is not a new trend, but it sure is taking over. We love the look of brass light fixtures with black elements, or casegoods with leather accents. Matchy-matchy is not our style and this trend helps show a more sophisticated and finished look.
Blush
Millennials love blush & so do !. Blush produces a more feminine vibe without being too in your face glam. Its been on trend for a while now and seems to be sticking around.
Chinoiserie
We love the romantic touch chinoiserie gives to a room. Most seen in art pieces or wallcoverings, chinoisiere is still a classic and has been showing up on upholstered goods as well.
Fringe
If you thought fringe was gone for good, think again! This seems like a trend that comes and goes, but this fall market is showing us fringe is back. We have a love hate relationship with fringe. It’s an easy one to get wrong, but when done right it definitely packs a punch.
Sherpa
Maybe it’s because cooler temps have arrived in the northeast, but sherpa fabrics have us daydreaming of warm fires and good books. Hi, I’m Sherpa and I love cuddles and long naps
Curves
While straight lines have been favored for quite some time, we have been seeing an emergence of curves. From simple details to full curved sofas, curves bring in an organic softness that lightens up a room.
We love going to market to find special pieces for our clients to set our design aesthetic apart. We like to pair unexpected materials and combine old vintage pieces with new. That’s the only way to keep our homes fresh, fun and a reflection of the people living there. At our firm we invest a lot of time and money in market shopping and educating ourselves at market on the latest and best materials and products available for our clients homes.

In other news … here is a kitchen we’ve been working on. Complete with open white oak shelving, inset custom cabinetry topped off with calacutta crema countertops. Stay tuned for more pictures of this renovation in the next few months.
We also installed our Blue Bell PA project. Here are a few sneak peeks. But first, THE BEFORE.
We designed this custom built-in around our client’s grandmothers antique dresser. We then filled the built in with all of her parents and grandparents favorite things along with a few new pieces..
Below is a picture of her grandmothers screen that we modernized by surrounding it with fresh new furniture pieces.
The family room also had a beautiful nod to vintage with this gorgeous carpet. We selected custom pillows to pop the red and blue in the area rug.

We installed our Edgehill Rd dining room project. This is a gorgeous and traditional home with great bones ….all we needed to do was freshen it up a bit! The BEFORE.
New art, light fixtures and accessories did the trick.
